A Winter Wedding at the Historic Queensbury Hotel in Downtown Glens Falls
What is more romantic than Wedding Photos on a snowy day? I recently photographed Katie and Mark at the historic Queensbury Hotel on their wedding day in Glens Falls. It was a cold, snowy day, but so fun!

Some people would be a little nervous planning a Winter Wedding in Upstate NY–but I say Go For It! Especially if you are doing the entire event at a venue like The Queensbury Hotel. Ceremony, Reception and accommodations for everyone in one place makes it really convenient for everyone. No travel was required to get to the ceremony or reception, so the road conditions were simply not a factor. In addition, the recently renovated venue has so many fabulous locations for Wedding Photos. Below is a slideshow of some of my very favorite moments during the day:

Planning for Winter Wedding Photos:
Add a little time and do a couple of Bridal Boudoir photos.
Have your Mom help you get dressed.
Having everyone get ready at the venue is a time saver and cuts down on stress for all.
Consider doing a First Look with the first man in your life–your Dad!
A First Look can be a great way to maximize daylight as well as cut down on stress.
Do a mix of traditional portraits….
And more casual Wedding Photos.
Be sure to bring something warm to wear–the fur stole was Katie’s Grandmother’s.
Have some fun with your Bridal Party.
Think outside the box. The hotel has these cool dining igloos that we used for a few quick night photos.
