I recently photographed a really unique May Wedding in Saratoga for a couple who definitely thinks outside the box, Kristin and Ian.
Unique Wedding Details
Kristin and Ian had a gorgeous day for their outdoor wedding at the Mansion. There were many different and unique touches, but my favorite was their wedding ceremony. Presided over by the Reverend Joy Burke, the couple included one of their favorite hobbies, archery, at the end. Wow!
Kristin made some major modifications to her dream dress.
Full Dress Uniform for Ian.
The cream and mauve colors of the bouquets really complimented the rustic theme of this unique wedding.
Kristin had found her dream dress when she went home to visit family. She brought it back here and did some impressive modifications on it, which is something I can totally appreciate. She also sourced unique artificial bouquets and boutonniers made of wood and eucalyptus–very rustic. Ian is in the Marine Corps and wore his dress uniform.
Loved the heart target for the Ceremony!
Kristin and Ian included their kids in the wedding, which was great. The Moms did readings during the ceremony. After that, Kristin and Ian shot arrows at a target that had hearts for the bullseyes.
The rustic barn is a great venue for a couple seeking an authentic rustic vibe.
I love the prompts on the card for guests to take photos.
Love the way the archery theme was carried through to the seating chart.

A Rustic Barn Wedding Reception
The reception was held in the rustic wood barn. One of the touches I really appreciated was a card at every place with prompts of things for people to take photos of. Their place cards featured arrows and a target in keeping with the archery theme. The Posie Peddler did table arrangements in wood boxes crafted by the Bride’s Father.
