So oftentimes what I like best about being a professional photographer is the fact that every day is a different adventure. Yesterday was no exception. I was invited to the PR event for Lavenlair Farm in Fort Ann, NY. And what a perfect day it was! I got outdoors in a beautiful location and indulged my love of Children’s Portrait Photography.

The season starts this week at Lavenlair Farm. You can pick your own lavender bouquets.

The 1820’s stone farmhouse on the property.
The farm is located in the Adirondacks and the drive there is very relaxing. You can pick your own lavender bouquets at the farm, which makes it an ideal activity for families with kids. Fresh air activities are always a bonus with small children. I had a great time watching the little kids running through the fields. They were having an awesome time, and indeed, what is not to love about the place?

All the kids were having a fantastic time running around. And it was just the most beautiful photo opportunity.

This is a picture of Mac right before he began singing his repertoire of Michael Jackson hits. LOL.

The farm began with a plant Diane rescued from a dumpster–the beginning of a dream.
The farm is a unique place to relax and unwind. The pastoral setting is lovely with it’s beautiful lavender fields and the 1820’s stone house. There are many products for sale made from different varieties of lavender. The farm has also partnered with the Cornell Cooperative Extension to research varieties of lavender and mint that are hardy to the North Country in the Adirondacks. They have also installed solar panels for electricity generation.

This soap is one of the many products available for sale at the farm.

Pick your own. And isn’t she just too sweet!
All in all–it was just an idyllic morning spent at Lavenlair Farm!
